OUR
MINISTRIES

At Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God, ministry is rooted in prayer, holiness, and a sincere love for people. For generations, our church has remained committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, teaching, and faithful service. We believe ministry is not limited to the walls of the church, but is lived out daily through compassion, encouragement, and obedience to God’s calling.

Through prayer outreach, youth development, radio ministry, and community-focused vision, we seek to meet both spiritual and practical needs. Our ministry exists to strengthen faith, uplift families, and restore hope, while preparing the next generation to walk boldly in purpose. Guided by the Word of God and led by the Holy Spirit, we remain dedicated to serving our community with integrity, love, and unwavering faith.

Radio Broadcast Ministry

For 59 years, the Radio Broadcast Ministry of Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God has faithfully carried the message of the Gospel beyond the walls of the church.

Through weekly broadcasts, the Word of God has reached homes, hospitals, vehicles, and communities near and far. This long-standing ministry has provided prayer, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment to listeners across generations.

Under the leadership of Bishop James A. Truss Sr., the radio ministry continues to serve as a lifeline of faith, connecting individuals who may be unable to attend in person while offering hope through the power of God’s Word.

This enduring broadcast stands as a testimony to consistency, obedience, and God’s sustaining grace. You can reach us on WEYY 92.7 FM

— Romans 10:17

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is the foundation of our ministry at Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God. We believe in the power of prayer and the faithfulness of God to hear and answer the cries of His people.

Through our Prayer Ministry, Bishop James A. Truss Sr. prays for individuals during our radio broadcast, lifting up the needs of those who call or write in requesting prayer. As an act of faith, prayer handkerchiefs and anointing oil are provided in accordance with Scripture, serving as a reminder of God’s healing power and presence.

In addition, we offer weekday prayer support Monday through Friday, where individuals may call in to submit prayer requests and receive encouragement through prayer. This ministry exists to strengthen faith, bring comfort, and remind all that no concern is too small for God. (1-605-313-4197 524284 access code)

youth ministry

The Youth Ministry at Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God is dedicated to nurturing and encouraging our young people in faith, character, and spiritual growth.

Under the guidance of the youth department, our church hosts a Youth Program every 4th Sunday, providing youth with the opportunity to participate in worship, scripture, prayer, and age-appropriate presentations. These services are designed to build confidence, strengthen biblical understanding, and help our youth grow in their walk with Christ.

Our goal is to create a loving and supportive environment where young people feel valued, encouraged, and inspired to serve God. Through consistent involvement and spiritual guidance, we seek to prepare the next generation to live faithfully and boldly for Christ.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Service Ministry in Development

Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God is prayerfully preparing to expand its outreach through a Service Ministry focused on youth development and family support.

This future ministry is designed to provide tutorial assistance, after-school care, and entrepreneurial training for youth within the community. Our goal is to support academic growth, encourage positive decision-making, and help young people develop practical skills that prepare them for success in life.

Through mentorship, structured learning, and faith-based guidance, this ministry seeks to empower youth with confidence, responsibility, and vision for their future. With the support of partnerships and grant funding, this program will help create safe, nurturing opportunities for growth beyond the classroom.

Future Outreach Vision

Community Restoration & Youth Development Vision

Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God is prayerfully developing a community outreach vision focused on supporting at-risk young adults through service, mentorship, and skill development.

Our desire is to create opportunities for young adults to participate in church and community repair projects, including assisting with building restoration, cleanup, and neighborhood support efforts. Through this initiative, participants would gain hands-on experience, work readiness skills, and positive structure while serving their community.

With the support of future grant funding and partnerships, this program would also provide stipends to participating young adults, helping them develop responsibility, confidence, and purpose while giving back.

This vision reflects our commitment to restoring lives, strengthening communities, and preparing the next generation for a productive and hopeful future.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.”
— Hebrews 10:24

Pastoral Support

At Little Jerusalem A.F.M. Church of God, pastoral care remains a vital part of our ministry. Though Bishop James A. Truss Sr. is no longer able to travel and visit as he once did, his heart for God’s people continues to shine through his dedication to prayer and encouragement.

Bishop Truss faithfully provides spiritual support through phone calls, taking time to pray with individuals, offer words of comfort, and speak encouragement into their lives. He ministers not only to church members, but also to those in the community and beyond who reach out seeking prayer and guidance.

Through this ministry of compassion, Bishop Truss continues to serve as a shepherd to many, reminding all that the love of Christ knows no boundaries and that prayer remains powerful at every stage of life.

“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee.” — Numbers 6:24
